Hi Everyone.[07/30/11 update]
As you know this tour in the UK kicks off an all new band with Michael Schenker. This band features two great new members- Herman Rarebell who needs no introduction after 16 years with the Scorpions writing some of their greatest hits including Rock You Like a Hurricane and many others. He brings a wealth of history and talent as well as pedigree in music.
The other new member is the the very talented Michael Voss who on top of being an amazing guitarist, vocalist and songwriter he also produced Michael's new record Temple of Rock. I am pleased that I was asked to play on three of the tracks including one we play live which is Before The Devil Knows Your Name.
I have personally played with many different Michael Schenker band members but I have to say that this lineup is really magical. Besides sounding great it is incredible fun and energy on stage. Check out some of the Youtube clips including High Voltage when Rudolf Schenker played with us and you will see what I mean.
If Michael Schenker ever played better than this I cannot remember when. When Michael breaks into a solo all eyes and ears are on him. It is a thing of beauty to hear his tone and wide vibrato. Every night on stage with him is a new experience.
The Black Country Communion guys were fantastic and very gracious in many ways as well down to having their road crew assist us each night. Thanks fellas!! They sounded great and are true pros and it was an honor to have them out watching our set.
Last gig tonite in England and we join up with Gary Barden and Pete Holmes to play some Italy shows. No doubt we will make sure the magic continues. Looking forward to meeting some Italian fans.
Elliott

Guitar virtuosos Michael Schenker, Uli Jon Roth and Leslie West are teaming up for the "3 Guitar Heroes Tour," a month-long outing that's guaranteed to lift those end-of-summer blues and remind you why it's great to be alive.[07/21/11 update]
The game plan calls for each guitarist to perform his own set and then cap the night by jamming together in a dynamic sight and sound spectacular that will restore your faith in guitar rock.
One of the fascinating aspects about this tour is the sheer volume of rock history represented by each guitarist. Known for his solo career as well as his time with UFO, Schenker joined his big brother Rudolf in the Scorpions in 1969. Three years later when the Scorpions toured opening for UFO, Schenker was lured into switching bands, resulting in Roth replacing him. It was Roth's '70s band, Dawn Road, that served as the foundation for a new Scorpions lineup, one that included the addition of singer Klaus Meine.
Schenker's new album, Temple Of Rock, drops this fall on Inakustik Records.
West is responsible for a lot of rock history as well. Beginning with an East Coast soul/rock band called The Vagrants, West received his first dose of fame when, along with bassist Felix Pappalardi and drummer N.D. Smart, formed Mountain in 1969. With his upcoming album, The Unusual Suspects, scheduled for a Sept. 20 release on Provogue, the guitarist was recently in the news when complications from diabetes resulted in doctors amputating his lower right leg in June.
"I am honored to be a part of the 3 Guitar Heroes Tour with Uli Roth and Michael Schenker," West said in a statement. "My manager Bob [Ringe] and I have been discussing a run like this for ages, and when the opportunity came up I hopped onboard. That's right - the guy who just had his leg amputated. These guys are monster players and this should be a lot of fun."

Michael Schenker is back - in better form than ever, dynamic, full of energy and new ideas. For Michael, the underlying ambition of this new album was to put together an `All Star Band' of rock, or you could say a Temple Of Rock. The Intro, spoken by William Shatner (Captain Kirk, Star Trek) indicates where the journey takes you. With 14 brand new titles penned by Schenker, a sublime mixture of Heavy Rock and Ballad, Temple Of Rock is full of vitality. The Limited First Edition features one bonus track plus a radio-edit of `Miss Claustrophobia'[07/18/11 update]

Michael says whether the new album will be called Temple of Rock is still not clear, and Slash could not manage it timewise. The Anouncement was made too early. The CD comes out first in Japan. In Europe, it should appear in mid August. Asked about his plans for the future, he replied "MSG in June in Holland, Michael Schenker in July in England. In October, Michael Schenker on U.S. tour with Leslie West and Uli Roth."[06/21/11 update]

"I am in Brighton rehearsing with Michael Schenker and Pete Way. Michael will soon release a solo album with many, many guests. As far as who the guests are, you should ask Michael. I will be one of the guests and so will Pete. I know Carmine [Appice] is playing on a few songs. Simon Phillips and Chris Slade will also play on a song. I will be on seven songs. It is all new material that Michael wrote over the last few months. "[01/18/11update No.2]
I do know that Rudolf has written a song with Michael. It is a great song, a ballad. They sent it to me three days ago and I am doing the drums on it now. One of the combinations after the Scorpions will be The Schenker Brothers. I am sure I will be playing drums for them.
