Ritchie, Here is some content from the Sat 2/15/14 show at the Coach House, in San Juan Capistrano.

Photo Album:

I was with Ronnie Lyon that night. Here is the Screamer photos & review:

Here is my friend Shawn Perry of Vintage Rock's interview of Michael:

Here are some of my comments/review of the night:

'You are soooo welcome Lori! Schenker was just on fire last Sat! 10min solo & my arm was getting tired, but I didn't want it to end...! His notes, phrasing, feel, & touch were washing through me like a warm familiar place...!'

'Me too Lori! I was there in person last Saturday at the CH hanging with Ronnie Lyon, Junkman, Lorelie, and more industry friends. Michael was just in the zone! A Zen-Like state with a huge smile on his face. He was having a good time. The band was great. Wayne, R EV, Pete, & Doogie were all just bringing it. Dont know what the catalyst is, but this was probably one of their best performances ever, like top 3, and I've been doing shows with & going to see MSG for years & years. WHITE LiE was supposed to do this show on Sat, but we had a 30day blockout clause from another show. We also just did a show with ULI ROTH at NAMM. Really bummed me out cause last time we played with Michael, Wayne, and the guys its was more than sold out, about 50-100 over capacity, the crowd was electric, we brought a 3rd of the house (M15) that night, and every person in the place had goose bumps for 3 hours. It was like communal contact high. We were direct support & did an hour & had a very special night, and MSG did nearly 2 hours, and rocked hard, with Robin Mc Auley on vocals just effortlessly nailing every generation of MSG, Scorps, & UFO tune, and was commanding the stage with grace, and just the nicest guy ever. I had had a pint at NAMM the month earlier and ran into Robin, and was chatting with him on the upcoming show at M15, and was very impressed how down to earth & approachable he was. Real class act. Since then I've done a few shows in LA with Robin & Robert Sarzo as Lordz of Rock. I know Robert from our shows with Hurricane over the last few years. Robert's another super nice guy & classy dude who is touring with Queensryche right now, AND just added Hurricane with Robert, Tony Cavazo, & Mike Hansen on a portion of the QR tour. How cool is that...? Coincidentally, Robin is doing the Vault gig in Vegas, with none other than another friend Andrew Freeman, who was singing for Hurricane at the time we did shows with them. So this whole thing is like a 6 degrees of separation thing...! Lori, you and Sue should have been there last Saturday, it was something special. You remember the show we did with UFO a while back with Sue shooting us that night? The killer sold out show...? Last Sat was even better Don't mean to rub it in, but still jazzed about 2-3 days later.'

'Just a superb night of Schenker! He was on fire that night! His set including classic early MSG tunes, Scorpions songs off Lovedrive, and epic UFO anthems. Great night seeing tons of White Lie fans & friends, including Ronnie Lyon, Jordan West, and Bill Ward's wife Jackie. Saw old staffer friends from the Galaxy, as well as many musician friends from the scene. Was a special night! Me & my baby Lorelie Sal had a blast! Good times...'

'Micheal Schenker saluting the crowd after an epic performance. One of his best I've seen in many years. This show was completely sold out. Standing room only. White Lie was supposed to be on this show. But we chose a NAMM 2014 show instead. After seeing a ton of White Lie fans last night & all of them telling me the openers sucked & why wasn't White Lie on this show, makes me wonder if we made the right decision taking the NAMM related show instead of this one. Hmmm... Well next year White Lie is gonna be on the bill with Schenker for sure! Thanks to all the White Lie fans that said hello & showed support. I really appreciate that '

'Me & Schenker's guitar tech Roberto Carrero having a long chat about Schenker, life on the road, people we know in common, and war stories. Dude is cool as f@&k! Know him for several years. We talked about the shows White Lie has done with Schenker over the years. He loves my Explorer '

'Killer set at the Schenker show. So far...
Assault Attack
Attack of the Mad Ax Man
Victim of illusion
Into the Arena
Lovedrive
Another Piece of Meat
Into the Horizon (new)
And we're still going, Michael is just shredding. It's a sold out show & packed!'

'Michael Schenker last night...after the MSG & Scorps tunes they ripped into UFO tunes:
Shoot Shoot
Only You Can Rock Me
Too Hot to Handle
Rock Bottom
Doctor Doctor'

'At the Micheal Schenker show at the Coach House. Boy is Michael on fire from the gate. Playing stuff of the old MSG albums. Simply awesome! If any WHITE LIE fans are here say hello! We were supposed to do this show at one point! Now back to the show!'

I have some video I'll forward next...

Cheers,

From assault attack to doctor doctor Schenker displayed all the reasons he is considered one of the best. He pulled out all of the good stuff at the coach house on feb 15th, proving once again that no matter how much the tickets cost, you get your moneys worth and more. One of the all time greats, getting down in San Juan Capistrano....now we know why the swallows keep coming back...they know Schenker will be there. Definitely one of the best guitarist I have ever seen.
