Hello Richie! Here's my account of the Michael Schenker concert at Eck's Saloon in Lakewood, Colorado on January 14, 2014. "Arrived with Cristy Rawks for some excellent rock and roll with MSG, and were not disappointed. The stage at Eck's is small and allowed fans to step right up and watch the guys in your face. Songs performed at the beginning included Neptune, Cry for the Nations, Assault Attack, and moving into the Scorpions-Lovedrive era drove the audience insane!"

"More classics on the last third of the show were from Michael's UFO days including Shoot Shoot, Only You can Rock Me, the anthem of Into the Arena and several others had the entire audience on their feet. Both young and older attended the concert, with new fans growing after discovering that real rock n' roll truely still exists."

Thx Ritchie, here it is:

Despite the hassle of being in a wheelchair and trying to deal with jerks who donft care that you are in a wheelchair, I had the best time. Michael was animated from the beginning and showed nothing but smiles and fun.

There were 4 bands before MSG, some not so good, some very goodc.but there was one that is touring with Michael and the boys called Gundriver. They are very good with the same vibe as MSG, so that must be the reason they are opening for MSG. Look them up on FB and LIKE them, they are a bunch of great guys and very talented.

Michael came out with guns blazing and I was mesmerized with the speed of his fingers. I didnft know where to look at any given time; Michaelfs smiles, his fingers raging on the strings, or Rev thumping that bass and dancing around like I have heard and seen on KOTTAK vids several years ago, thanks to Kathleen, or watch Wayne be the ultimate axeman, attacking his new personally designed Dean Trident. I couldnft see Pete the drummer, but boy was he slamming out the bottom with Rev. He is power on the skins!!!

At one point, there was so much pushing and shoving from the idiot drunks in back of me, they were crushing Dave out of the way of my chair. He was supposed to be standing in back of me and they were pretty aggressive and he was getting further away from me and I was grabbing at his coat sleeve screaming to get in back of me and I turned back around with fear in my eyes because those clowns around me were scaring me. I looked up at Michael and he looked at me and I just smiled and started to rock out again and he smiled real big and winked at me and I felt so peaceful, like it was a wink of gdonft worry about those morons and just rock!h it was cleansing and made me feel so young and thrilled and like I belonged there!!! After that he smiled and winked at me a few times and each time it was a very wonderful feeling, made me feel like I still mattered in this world. Screw those who donft care that I am disabled and donft get the view the rest do. That I donft have the opportunities that walking people do. There is so much missing from my life, especially going to rock concertsc. but seeing Michael and having him just smile and watching that manfs genius and mastery of the guitar (which I have always loved the guitar with such passion) made my night, my month, hellcmy year!!!!

He at one point slapped several peoplefs hands including mine. That was fun! At one point Wayne came over and I got a close look at that Trident, itfs so amazing! And he gave me a slap too. I regret that after a few pictures, which you all see here, my camera, my wonderful DSLR that I have had for only about 4 years, bit the dust!!! I was sick cuz I didnft get a close up of the Trident OR Michaelfs chrome Vee or photos of his other guitars he played. Doogie nailed the vocals, he was great. Really! And he was quite the entertainer! Working the crowd. Wayne works the keyboards as well as his new Trident and does both like the major rock star that he is! Rev was amazing on the bass. He is crazy and fun and funny as hell!!! Pete is an amazing drummer. He slams it. The whole band just was so in sync and they made me feel like I belonged in this world. I do belong here, have been since I heard Led Zep in 1968 when I was 13 years old. Whatever the circumstances in my life, you can't take the rocker spirit out of the girl and the fact of being "raised on rock" reminds me of where I will always be til I die. BUT I was in rock heaven this night peeps! No words can explain what 1. Going to a rock concert after so long felt like 2. Going to see MSG felt like 3. Having Michael smile and wink at me and being at the stage so close to him 4. The music and watching that manfs fingers 5. Meeting the lead guitar player of Gundriver and he went and got me a CD AND had the entire band sign it!! 6. Feeling alive again, like a rock chick again, feeling the electricity through the body that only rock and roll can do to me. I am grateful to Dave for taking me and for buying the tickets *you know I wanted to pay for mine* and just for putting up with my craziness for the night. I felt like my old self, I was in my element, around rockers!!!! Thanks Michael, Wayne, Rev, and Pete. Thanks Gundriver And of course, thanks Dave Ooz.

And my album of his photos are here: https://www.facebook.com/cristyrawks/media_set?set=a.10202631320400213.1113648734&type=3

My camera crashed after only 4 years of having it, which is not old for a DSLR, before the show was even into it's 4th song!!!! I was devastated, but I still could not believe the amazing brilliancy of this man!!! I have Dave Ortiz's pix in with mine cuz he was with me and those are his from behind me, that are special to me. Thx again.
