Just in from Glasgow, we got a slightly different format from the Newcastle gig last night. Uli appeared on stage first apologising that they had just flown back from New York and had arrived a bit late so we were getting a shorter set from them, they played 2 tracks from the new cd, Land of dawn and Magic word and then a brilliant rendition of We'll burn the sky. Would have loved a longer set especially with Liz Vandall singing, she has a superb voice and an excellent rapport with Uli. Scorpions were on next the set was much the same as last night but Wind of change was omitted. Michael came on and played Coast to coast, Holiday, Lovedrive and then came back on towards the end for another scorpions track (Rock You Like A Hurricane) and Doctor Doctor. He looked remarkably fit and well (and looked like he should look) and his playing was superb. I've uploaded a clip of Lovedrive to you tube. Will post more photos tomorrow.
