Concert Report by R.B.Araki
MSG at Nakano Sunplaza, Tokyo, Japan

The second night in Tokyo was even greater than the previous night. Michael Schenker appeared on stage wearing a jacket of the skeleton with a zippered hood on which a skull is printed. He took them off before they moved on to the second song.

During the first few songs, Michael played in a rather upright posture and seemed less focused. However, as the show progressed, he was gradually bending over and more and more focused. Then, astonishing killer solos came out one after another. It was apparent Michael was in top gear!! Even long-time fans like me re-realized how good he can play. He did on this night again his new "Schenker Howl" play after Into the Arena. Truly cool!!

Michael moved on stage much more than the previous night. He even walked to Wayne's keyboard stand and they played side by side. Also, he moved to the center front to play the lead.

In contrast to other members who were kind of laid back, Michael looked prominently young and energetic.

I am sure the Japanese promotoers will never hesitate to invite MSG again to Japan.
