MSG @ NAMM JAMM 2011!!: Wayne Findlay kindly informed us that MSG will play a short 20min. set at the NAMM JAMM 2011 next January!!!. Classic Rock Magazine Interview: The latest issue of the Classic Rock magazine has an interview with Michael Schenker who won the the Marshall '11' award. He talks about what the award means to him. He also speaks about the plans for the future. He is working on the solo album with some star guests. He is hoping to get Bob Rock to produce it. He's got a new manager from Survival Magement called Bob Ringe, who is also managing Zakk Wylde and Leslie West. Michael is also rehearsing with Pete Way and Herman Rarebell to do Scorpions, UFO, MSG songs as well as some new staff. Phil Mogg once visited the rehearsal. There's a possibility of Scorpions with MSG as a supporting act touring the States next summer. Thanks, Wildcard!! (cf. 11/13/10 update)

Classic Rock Roll Of Honour: According to Classic Rock Magazine website, Michael Schenker is among the acts who received the Marshall Classic Rock Roll Of Honour awards. The Marshall '11' award which is given to those artists and musicians who represent rock'n'roll excess and livin' on the edge, went to German rock guitarist Michael Schenker, whose fame as a founding member of The Scorpions and later the lead guitar player for UFO has given him universal recognition as one of the most legendary figures in metal guitar. MSG Classic Albums on Vinyl: On Friday, September 17, Cargo Records will reissue two classic MSG albums on 180 gram colored vinyl. 'The Michael Schenker Group' on clear vinyl and 'One Night At Budokan'on blue vinyl. Both albums are limited! The reissue of 'The Michael Schenker Group' contains one full LP of 9 songs and a second LP with 8 bonus tracks. Thanks, Peter!!

Scorpions Family & UFO Tour In 2011!?: Ex-Scorpions drummer Herman "Ze German" Rarebell told a classic rock radio station in the States called B102.7 that Michael Schenker, Rarebell and Uli may be joining the entire Scorpions tour in 2011 and the reunioned UFO (Michael, Phill, Pete and possibly Rarebell) would be the show opener. Thanks, Axe!!!!
.... a Scorpions "Family Tour" featuring the current band plus appearances by three former members is in the works for 2011. Rarebell and guitarists Michael Schenker and Uli Jon Roth have joined the Scorps a couple times in the past at festivals, but never for a whole tour. Rarebell also says that a reunited UFO is expected to be the opening band. Michael Schenker was the English group's guitarist during its mid-1970s heyday, and the lineup would include him, singer Phil Mogg, bassist Pete Way and possibly Rarebell on drums.

News for MSG Fans in Brazil Although it has not been announced on Michael Schenker's official website, a local promoter of MSG tour in Brazil announced over the past month MSG tour dates of August 27th (acoustic date) and 28th (electric date). On the latter date, MSG would have played whole "The Michael Schenker Group" album. Tickets to these dates had already been on sale over the past three weeks as is evidenced by the concert flyer. Then, two more dates were annouced: August 26 in Curitiba and August 29 in Rio de Janeiro. However, the promoter just announced on their website that the tour was cancelled due to the contract breach. I have no idea as to what was really going on between MSG's agent and them. But, am sure that the fans in Brazil would want to hear the story from the MSG side, too. Thanks for the info, Paula!!!

Just wanted to keep you updated on things if you haven't heard...

Last night we had Herman Rarebell on (lights out), Neil Muray on (night 2 rembr), Doogie White, Pete Way and Paul Raymond on(Dr.Dr.)...

It was KILLER!!! Historic performance and gig!! A dream come true to play on stage with my mentor Paul Raymond and sing backups together on Dr. Dr.!!!

And of course my other friends that joined us last night!!

Awesome night!! Hope to see some video/you tube of this...:)

Today a 14 hour van ride from London, across France to Freiburg Germany...whew!!...Tomorrow Switzerland!!

This Year (2010) Michael Schenker is taking MSG's 30th Anniversary Celebration
with Special Line-ups around the World. The Tour already started with amazing enthusiasm in Japan (DVD and Live CD which will be released in Autum) and will be in Europe in May, June, July and will continue in the States in July and August. Also planned are South America, Russia and other countries in Asia. Michael says :"It's exiting stuff and don´t miss the London show at Shepperds Bush Empire on June 02 with surprise guest appearances!"

MSG European Dates & Line-up Officially Confirmed: According to Michael Schenker's official website, most of the European tour dates that have been unofficially reported here are now official. Also, one date in Switzerland, three dates in Germany and one festival in Belgium have been newly added to the tour. It is apparent MSG will not be playing at the Multi Kulti Art Festival (cf. 02/16/10 update). According to Wayne Findlay, the lineup for the MSG "30th Anniversary" European tour is as follows:

MSG Japan Tour Completed: MSG's show at C.C. Lemon Hall in Tokyo tonight was a great success. Personally, it was the best of the three Tokyo shows that I attended.
