Amy was not there but it was an excellent show.I only wish MSG would have went on earlier. The ticket only said MSG with one opening band at 8 pm. They had 3 bands open for them, 2 of which sucked bad. MSG didn't go on until sometine after 11, which is later for me on a weekday. Very, very excellent show!!!!

The show at Peabody's here in Cleveland was phenominal to say the least. I've seen Schenker every time he has been to Cleveland, and all the shows have been special in their own way. This particular show, as in the past, he brings us a new band and vocalist. Played alot of new material. Schenker was in top form; his guitar was loud and clear and he appeared aware and grateful of the large mass of fans in attendance. He wore some kind of weird black and red nylon sporting outfit and shorts, with a white baseball cap. His playing was full of the emotion and heart we love him for, and save for a brain fart on "On and On"s solo where he actually lost his place and both hands were off the guitar.. (the audience could actually hear him say "son of a bitch"!!!... everything else was flawless! He allowed Wayne Finley to play the Jeff Watson solos on a few of the new tunes. Vocalist Chris Logan is hard to describe. He looks good and has a good stage presence... sorta like a pleasant Axl Rose. Vocally, he appears to be weaker sounding than on record, and had a little trouble hitting some of Graham Bonnet and Phil Mogg's high notes, but who wouldn't? No more Amy, apparently her stint was brief. She will not be back for any other appearances. Michael was in great spirits and signed autographs and took pictures with fans after the show! I agree with the previous review that waiting through 3 opening bands was a bummer.. especially the first two, which were clearly garage bands. The band before MSG, Cottonmouth, I have actually seen before. They have toured with AC/DC and Lynyrd Skynrd. The guitarist is one of the best I've heard in years... kinda like a cross between Nugent and Schenker if you can imagine that. Rumors are that they are going to be playing additional dates with MSG across the country. The drummer for Schenker's band told me they are planning a second leg after the holidays and heading for Europe... so European Schenker fans take note! All in all, a kick-ass performance! Lets hope he doesn't wait another 4 years to come back!
