Ritchie,

The Friday night show at Austin's was Sold Out! Wow there were WAY too many fans there that night! Chicago's Hessler (sadly the last show for singer Lariyah Daniels), David Shankle Group and Gundriver opened the night. You could feel the anticipation building as the time for Michael Schenker's Temple Of Rock were to hit the stage.

As with Thursday night, they started with Neptune and Wild Winds which were well received.

The crowd started getting energized with the MSG songs and really blew up when Into The Arena began. You could tell the band were feeding off the energy of the fans as they kept rocking stronger and stronger as the night went on. Michaels' playing was again exceptional for most of the show, but at times he struggled to get to 'the next level' with his playing in the improvised parts of some of the solos. That problem went away by the time the UFO mini-set started, and his leads just soared like Angels out over the crowd. Again Wayne, Rev and Doogie showed great stage chemistry, with Wayne sporting his new Trident guitar prominently...what an awesome sounding and badass looking guitar!

Michael's new Chrome V is quite nice also, the pictures don't do it any justice...it's a beauty!

Michael simply Crushed the solos for Lights Out and Too Hot To Handle! Chicago fans Love Michael Schenker, and that's why: he never fails to impress!

overheard after the show were an endless string of "Holy Sh*t!!" and "WOW, Amazing!" and similar comments from the fans as they left the hall.

Once again, Get Your Tickets for these shows!

oh, and the Meet & Greet is a pretty cool deal: soundcheck, meet Michael, Doogie and Wayne (and Rev and Pete if available), get your favorite LP/Guitar/poster signed, and you're all setup to sit tight and get your front-row place right in front of the Master!!! See Taro Schenker for further details, he's the guy with the laptop and at the Merch table.

Rock On everyone!

Steve

ps: For anyone who wants the new CD, they didn't get any to sell at the shows, which is very unfortunate. Check your Local Record Store (help keep these guys in business!) and get Bridge The Gap!

Ritchie-

Always appreciate your site and how up to date you always are! Thank you so much. Not a review, though Mike Albers and I, along with many friends were at the Austinfs show in Libertyville Friday night. Alanfs and Brucefs photos were fantastic, and the review spot on. What a great night, and my brother in law in and his friend (with wives!) got their FIRST show with Michael. Now they know the difference!

Take care Ritchie.

Hans Albers
