hi

i went to the MSG show yesterday in Hong Kong. had been reading on your site about schenker's antics on other dates of the asian tour, so went with very low expectations. the show was very poorly promoted locally, so partly due to this only a couple of hundred people showed up at a venue in the middle of nowhere that was more like a lecture theatre than a concert hall. and the gig was.... not bad at all actually. michael was definitely a bit out of it and his playing was ropey in places, but he grinned a lot and actually seemed to be enjoying himself. the rest of the band put in a lot of effort too, the bassist especially, and you wouldnt have guessed they'd been at each other's throats the day before. the audience was mostly locals, very appreciative, and everyone was on their feet from the second number. the band played the whole show with no obvious dramas, although michael struggled a bit with the solo for rock bottom at the end. then they took their bows and it was all smiles and waving to the crowd. let's see if they can keep it together for the last gig on the tour in taipei.
